Interests

I am a web designer who enjoys, designing entire layouts from scratch in Photoshop and creating elegant user interfaces and then coding the designs using valid HTML/CSS and jQuery. Even though my primary focus is design I am interested in programming as well and have dabbled in Java (using the processing framework) and PHP (using CodeIgniter).

Job History

I have done two internships as an undergrad. One was for a non-profit organization called The Push Institute. Push is global trends analysis firm, and my responsibilities there were to integrate an existing brand identity into a a new website. My second internship was at Adapted Studio in Brooklyn, New York. I worked on projects for clients such as Toshiba, NYC based graphic designer Albert Dungca and art collective Faile. Other positions I’ve held include working as a designer at MCAD DesignWorks. DesignWorks is the Minneapolis College of Art and Design’s in house design firm and only the most talented students are selected to work there. During my time at DesignWorks I worked on a news portal for the John Hopkin’s Berman Institute. My independent work includes doing a product launch page for Minneapolis based fashion designer Laura Fulk.
